Obituary for Kenneth Evan Scott Print Kenneth Evan Scott, 65, of Interlachen, passed away on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center following an extended illness. Born in South Williamson, West Virginia, he resided in Putnam County for 39 years coming from Greenwood, South Carolina. He served honorably in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

Ken worked as plant manager with several concrete companies including Florida Rock Industries, Tarmac and then with Rinker. He was a member of Fleet Reserve Branch #183 and a life member of VFW Post #10164 in Interlachen. Ken was also a member of the Azalea City Cruisers and loved riding in antique cars.

Among his other past-times were fishing and competing as a member of the Fleet Reserve Fishing Club. Many times over the years, Ken helped with various benefits to assist in raising money for people who had had misfortunes in life. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth M. Scott and Roamey Hall Scott, a brother, Terry Joe Scott and a sister, Kathy Schultz and his former wife, Deborah Joan Scott.

Ken is survived by his wife of 12 years, Kathryn “Katy” Scott of Interlachen, a son, Russell Scott (Caroline) of Troy, SC, 2 daughters, Marion Scott of Greenwood, SC and Kristi Scott of War Shoals, SC, a brother, Jeffrey Scott (Cindy), a sister, Marian Strunk (Fred) all of Interlachen, 4 grandchildren, Kortney, Lane, Justin and Kandice and his canine friend, “Sammy”. Memorial services celebrating Ken’s life will be at 5:00 P.M. Monday, February 11, 2019 at Johnson-Overturf Chapel in Interlachen with Bro. Ricky Bybee officiating.
