Kenneth H. Kennedy born June 29, 1940, passed away on July 1, 2018, in Prairie City, Oregon. On Saturday, July 14th at 11 am services will be held at Prairie City Cemetery with a potluck reception to follow at the Packard’s House on McHaley Road in Prairie City, Oregon. Kenneth loved ranch work and working in the woods, the outdoors was where he felt most at home.

He was an excellent fence builder and took pride in his work. Kenneth liked to be in the woods, hunting, riding horses, four wheelers, feeding cows and caring for the little calves. Kenneth had an old 1964 red pickup that would go anywhere; he never hesitated to assist people along the road or who needed help.

He was a member of the Prairie Methodist Church, later attending Prairie Grace Chapel. In 1999 on August 15th, he was baptized in the John Day River. He and the love of his life, Bonnie, enjoyed writing religious songs together.

Kenneth is survived by his companion Bonnie Nance; children Russell Kennedy, Norm Kennedy, Ruth Kennedy, Dee Kennedy; twin sister Karrol; brothers Kerman and Keith; sisters Laura, Karen, and Karmen and his many friends including Pastor Darrell Johnson. He had seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
