Mary Theresa Weaver, 63, of John Day, Oregon passed away at her residence on October 30, 2018, at 10:00 AM, with her loving family by her side. A graveside memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 10th at 11:00 AM at Moon Creek Cemetery in Mount Vernon. Friends are invited to join the family at the Grant County Fairgrounds Trowbridge Pavilion for a reception following the service.

Mary was born on July 19th, 1955 to Fred and Virginia Spinney in San Diego, California. Mary is survived and loved by her husband James Weaver, daughter Mandy Weaver, son Jarrod Weaver, siblings Kim Johns, Fred Spinney Jr., Gary Spinney, and Bonnie Foster. Mary is also survived by 15 nieces and nephews and 5 grandchildren.

Mary has been a pillar and leader in the Grant County community since her family’s arrival in 1971. Mary graduated from Mt. Vernon High School in 1973 and married the love of her life shortly thereafter.

Jim and Mary built a life together of love, hard work, and world travel. As a wife, mother, sister, grandmother, daughter, and friend Mary was devoted to the happiness and health of all she shared life with. Mary was a lover of people, travel, fun, friends and her family.

Thank you to all who have supported Mary and her family through these challenging times. Mary could not control the shortened length of her life but she certainly managed the depth of her life by radiating love through her daily interactions and embracing all of the moments with family and friends. Memorial contributions may be made to the Grant County Fairgrounds through Driskill Memorial Chapel at 241 S. Canyon Blvd.
