Obituary for Kenneth Hale Kenneth Edgar Hale, born on June 7, 1929. At age 88 he passed away on May15, 2018. He was born to the late Edgar and Alice Hale in Stuart, Florida and was raised in Melbourne, Florida until he moved to Fort Pierce in 1941.

He was a roofing contractor, and owner of “Ken Hale Roofing” for 38 years. After closing the business in 1985 he went to work as supervisor for Saint Lucie County Building Maintenance Department before transferring to maintenance supervisor position at the Saint Lucie County Jail, where he remained until retiring in 1999. He is survived by his wife Elizabeth, sister June Nelson of Fort Pierce, sons Kenneth J. Hale of Perry, FL, Michael Borchers of Gainesville, FL, and Jon Borchers of Fort Pierce.

His daughters Mary H. Wolf of Fort Pierce and Christine Borchers of Gainesville, FL, 5 grandsons, 1 granddaughter, 4 great grandsons, 5 great granddaughters, and several great, great grandchildren.
