Kenneth W. Heschke was born March 31, 1925, to Charles and Bessie (Moriarty) Heschke, in Truesdale, Iowa. He passed away on November 4, 2018, at the Jefferson Place in Pella, Iowa. Ken attended Storm Lake High School.

He met Sarah M. Davis at the Rexall Drug Store in Pella. They were married on June 28, 1959, at the Open Bible Church in Pella. To this union they were blessed with three children: Pat, Jim and Doug.

He enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Forces in May of 1943, and was honorably discharged in October of 1945. Ken worked for Roth Construction and later for the City of Pella. He also owned and operated Ken’s Home Improvement for many years.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Sarah and their family: Pat Heschke, Des Moines Jim and Lesa (Brown) Heschke, Alta Geneva and Andrew Allerdings Bennett Olivia Heschke Cristena and fiancé Alex Stephan Andrea and Mitchel McDonald Doug and Lori (Schiebout) Heschke, Tracy Joshua Heschke Caleb Heschke Joseph and Sarah Beth Heschke Levi Heschke Sarah Marie Heschke Hannah Heschke Ken is also survived by his sister Phyllis Francis of Alta, and sister-in-law Bernice Heschke of Indio, California, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers: Robert Heschke, John (Alma) Heschke and Darel (Alberta) Heschke, and his brother-in-law Ellis Francis.
