Kenneth’s Obituary Kenneth L. Barrett, 86, of Portsmouth, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 27, 2019. Born on August 12, 1932 in Winchendon, MA; the son of Leslie and Mahala Barrett. He is survived by his son Michael and wife Terry of Portsmouth, NH, and daughter Tracy and husband Tim of San Antonio, TX, along with many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He is also survived by his loyal friend, Billy Loomis. Ken was predeceased by his long time love Pat Osborne. Ken was a lifelong resident of the Seacoast area.

He served in the US Army during the Korean War and upon honorable discharge attended and graduated from Bentley College, Boston, MA. Ken was a comptroller for several local businesses, along with a partnership in developing local properties. He was a member of the Elks Lodge 97 in Portsmouth.

Ken was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots and was happiest with a full platter of whole belly fried clams. Ken was known by all to be an easy going consummate gentleman who will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, February 2, at 11:00 AM at the JS Pelkey and Son Funeral Home, Kittery, ME, with services to follow.

A reception will be held at the Elks Lodge 97, Portsmouth, from 1:00 to 3:00 PM. Memorial donations may be made to Beacon Hospice. To leave online condolences, please visit www.
