Andrea’s Obituary South Berwick, ME – Andrea M. Houde, 81, of South Berwick, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on March 19, 2019. She was born in Dover on December 4, 1937, the daughter of Andre “Pete” & Aurore (Vallee) Gagnon. Andrea was a communicant of St Ignatius of Loyola in Somersworth, NH.

Prior to her retirement, Andrea worked as a Dental Hygienist for Dr. Topham in Dover, then she worked at Russell Stover’s, and Ben Franklin’s Craft store. She enjoyed hiking and skiing in the White Mountains with her nieces and nephews & best friend, Cecile. She also enjoyed knitting, and crocheting and made many, many squares for Keep America Warm.

Card playing with her relatives was one of her favorite recent pastimes. She was predeceased by her sisters; Sr. Helene Gagnon, PMA, Rose M. Hopkins & her husband Edward, Sr., & baby Irene Gagnon, and her brother, Robert C. Gagnon Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Alfred Houde, Jr.; her children: Lionel Houde & his wife, Abby of Somersworth, Anthony Houde & his wife, Stefanie of Tennessee, and Ryan Houde & his wife, Suzi, of South Berwick; her siblings, Jeannette Dumont & her husband, Nobby of Somersworth, Andre Gagnon & his wife, Jeannine of Nashua; sister-in-law Jean Gagnon of Dover, a very special sister and brother in law, Cecile and Henry Houde of Eliot; several nieces and nephews. Services: A time of visitation will be held from 11am to 12pm at the Holy Trinity Church of St. Ignatius of Loyola Parish, 404 High Street, Somersworth with a Mass to immediately follow at 12pm.

At a later date, she will be interred in St Charles Cemetery, Dover, NH. Care of the Houde Family has been entrusted to J S Pelkey and Son Funeral Home.
