Kenneth L. Condo, 84, of Lock Haven passed away Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at the UPMC Williamsport Hospital. He was born June 5, 1934 to the late William and Emma McCloskey Condo. Ken was a 1954 graduate of the Lock Haven High School.

Upon graduation he entered the US Navy actively serving from 1954 to 1956. During his service he received the National Defense Service Metal. He went to work for the Hammermill Paper Company in Lock Haven from 1956 to 1974.

Ken then went to work for the State Correctional Institution at Rockview, retiring as a sergeant correctional officer in 1994 after twenty years of service. Ken was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Lock Haven. He and his wife volunteered many years at Susque View chapel services that his church provided on Tuesday evenings.

He and his wife were members of the Bald Eagle Ridge Runners camping club for over 40 years. Ken enjoyed hunting, camping and traveling throughout the United States and Canada. He especially enjoyed visiting and camping in the National Parks, having traveled in 44 different states.

Survivors include his wife, Joanna Hamel Condo whom he married November 2,1956 and three daughters, Joy (Ricky) Weaver of Mill Hall, Diane Wise of Mechanicsburg, and Penny Condo (Michael Szczesny) of State College. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, one great grandson with another great grandchild on the way and a number of nieces and nephews. Ken will be greatly missed by his beloved dog, Buffy.

Ken was preceded in death by one brother, C. William Condo and three sisters, Pauline Overdorf, Daisy Strouse and I. Lavonne Dutton. Funeral services for Kenneth L. Condo with full military honors will be held on Saturday, Dec. 15, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the Yost-Gedon Funeral Home & Cremation Services LLC, 121 W. Main St. Lock Haven PA.

Officiating will be Pastor Doug Packard and Lay-Speaker, Jeffery Bayliff. Interment will be in the Highland Cemetery. Family and friends will be received in the funeral home from Saturday from noon until the time of services.
