Kenneth “Nick” Nicholson, 67, of Morehead City, passed away Monday, February 11, 2019, at Pruitt Health – Trent. Nick graduated from the class of 1969 from Ocala High School and briefly attended Central Florida Community College. He enlisted in the United States Army and honorably served 20 years, including a tour of duty in Vietnam, before retiring as a Chief Warrant Officer 3.

After the military Nick owned and operated a private security firm. He made Morehead City his home for the past 15 years where he enjoyed fishing, including winning several fishing tournaments. He was an avid cook, golfer and was honored to be a member of Vietnam Veterans.

He is survived by his daughter, Nicol Nicholson of Perth, Australia; grandson, Jett; and brother, William “Billy” Nicholson and Billy’s wife Dorene of Ocala, FL. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Nicholson and his mother and father. Online condolences may be made at www.
