Cobbtown GA, Kenneth Powell, Sr., age 77, passed away on Friday, January 11, 2019 at Serenity Place in Dublin surrounded by his loving family. He was born in 1941 to the late Luther and Essie Powell. The Tattnall native lived most of his life in the Tattnall and Evans County area.

During his working years, he worked at Dan Vaden Chevrolet in Savannah in the detail shop. Among his most favorite hobbies was walking through the pecan orchard and picking up pecans. Kenneth is preceded in death by his wife, Irma Jean Powell; his parents; his brothers, L.P. Powell, Carl Powell, Williard Powell, Bill Powell, and Gene Powell; his sisters, Coreen Powell, and Mary Nell Purvis.

Left to cherish the memories made are his son, Kenny (Suzanne) Powell of Rincon; sister Shirley (Archie) Mauldin of Guyton; brother Perry Powell of Ellabell; grandchildren, Debra Stanfield, Heather (Brian) Parks, and Michael Parks; 5 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews, and countless friends made along the way. The family will receive friends one hour before the funeral for a visitation beginning at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, January 14, 2019 at the chapel of Low Country Cremation & Burial in Reidsville. Funeral Services will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 14, 2019 at the chapel of Low Country Cremation & Burial with the Rev.

Grady Taylor officiating. Pallbearers will be Tommy Pervis, Johnny Mauldin, David Mauldin, Jesse Mauldin, Jody Bath, Carlos Rigdon, Shane Powell, and Tyler Mauldin. Interment will follow in Mt.

Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery. Low Country Cremation & Burial is serving the Powell family.
