Obituary for Mr. Kenneth Stengel Schoening Kenneth Stengel Schoening went to be with the good Lord on Wednesday, April 12, 2017. He had been receiving care as a resident at the Laurels of Greentree Ridge in Asheville, NC for the past several months. Born June 14, 1928 in Louisville, KY, he retired in 1991 from his job as a controller with Phillips Electronics North American Corporation.

A graduate of Wittenberg University in Springfield, OH, he was a member of Phi Gamma Delta fraternity. Mr. Schoening was the son of the late Henry and Irene Schoening of Louisville, KY. He was also preceded in death by his brother H.W. Schoening of Atlanta, GA.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Kari L. Schoening, children Kari S. Diehl and husband Peter of Bellingham, WA, Krista S. Fox and husband Ansley of Fletcher, NC, and grandchildren Eric Diehl, Megan Fox, Hannah Fox, Anna Diehl, and David Diehl.
