Obituary for Mr. John Thomas Lyons John “Tom” Thomas Lyons, 52, passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 20, 2018. Tom was born in Danville, Illinois on January 3, 1966. He attended TCR High School and Blue Ridge Tech, and served in the Army.

Tom and Chrystal were married on December 23, 1989. They were married for 28 life changing years. After driving a truck for various companies Tom stayed at home to work for 21+ years at what he said was the hardest job he ever had, raising our 2 wonderful and beautiful children.

He always did a great job at what he did, this one being the best of all. Tom is preceded in death by his father David Arthur Lyons, I. He is survived by his mother, Diana Edmonds Lyons; his wife, Chrystal C. Lyons; their two children, Michael A. Lyons & Jessica M. Lyons. Also his brother, David A. Lyons, II; his sister, Carol Sue L. McFalls; brother-in-law, Rick McFalls; nieces; nephews and the rest of his family and friends.

The family will receive friends at 1:00 PM on Friday, January 26, in the Chapel of Highlands Cremation & Funeral Care, 2393 Hendersonville Road, Arden. A Celebration of Life will follow at 2:00 with Addison Brown officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to the Salvation Army.
