Kent M. M. Keao, 62, of Richland Center died Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on October 2, 1956 in Haleiwa, Oahu, Hawaii the son of Arthur and Shirley (Schneck) Keao. Kent was a musician as a child who wrote lyrics, sang, playing musical instruments and has many recorded albums which are played on YouTube to this day.

After his honorable discharge Kent received his degree from UW Madison in Mechanical Engineering. On August 18, 2011 Kent was united in marriage to Wendy Paasch in Galena, Illinois.

He was very fond of his dogs Keoki and Kamaki. Kent is survived by his wife Wendy Keao of Richland Center; 4 children: Misty Keao of Milwaukee, Kai Keao of Mauston, Renae Keao of Platteville, Jake Johnson of LaCrosse; 2 grandchildren; father-in-law: Russell Paasch (significant other Colleen Barreau) of Richland Center; many other relatives and friends. Kent was preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Shirley and mother-in-law Jeanne Charlier Paasch.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at 6:00 PM at the Pratt Memorial Chapel with military rites to be provided by the Local Military Memorial Honor Unit. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at the Pratt Memorial Chapel from 4:00 PM until the time of the service at 6:00 PM. The family suggests memorials in Kent’s name be directed to the family.
