OFFICER KEVIN DALE BLUE, 51, of Piedmont, passed away on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at his residence surrounded by close friends and family. He received a college degree in integrated studies from Jacksonville State University where he played on the football team from 1985-1989. He had worked with the county road department, the power company and Piedmont Police Department for six years.

Officer Blue was a man with a gentle heart and tender spirit. He calmly, yet professionally, fulfilled his duties as an officer. He was one that was loved by many and respected by the community.

He is survived by his daughter: Arika Blue and fiancée, Eric; and grandson: Race. Visitation will be Thursday, November 1 from 6-8 PM at Dansby Heritage Chapel in Piedmont. Funeral service will be Friday, November 2 at 3:00 PM at Leatherwood Baptist Church with Rev.

Mike Owens officiating. Visitation will be two hours prior at the church. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery.

Dansby Heritage Chapel is honored to serve the Blue Family.
