He was the son of Ronald and Joann Johnson born on March 30, 1960 in the city of Walla Walla Washington. Kevin retired from Les Schwab and worked with the company for 30 years.

He was a very hard worker and it showed. The number one thing he absolutely loved to do is fish. In his free time that’s what he would be doing – fishing.

Surrounding himself by the nature, the quietness, and wildlife seemed to always put him at ease and take any of his worries away. He loved to be out on his boat whether fishing or not and in the winter riding his snowmobiles. When his children were younger he would take the two of them camping, to the car races, fairs, and monster trucks, a lot of different adventures.

The memories spent with him go on and on throughout the both our lives and will always be cherished in our hearts. He loved his children very much and would always protect them with his life. He always would want the very best for them and their future.

Here is a fishing quote that I will always remember from him… “I fished because my father fished. I fish for the stillness of the water, the thick morning fog, the soft splash in the distance as the quarry lets me know he’s out there. I fish for the challenge of outsmarting a worthy opponent.

I fish to leave the rest of the world behind. I fish to pit myself against nature, the fish, and the elements. I fish for the thrill of the strike, for the tug on the line as the fish takes my lure.

I fish for the enjoyment of the fight as an ancient tug-of-war plays out. I fish for the satisfaction. I fish because I respect the fish.

I fish because absolutely nothing compares to the taste of fresh caught fish. I fish because it’s in my DNA”. He absolutely loved both of his dogs Cedar and Lillie.

Cedar was a big boy he was a yellow lab, and Lillie she was a black lab. He would spend countless hours with them in the water and playing fetch just as long as he was with them he was all good. They were spoiled and they knew it, just because he loved them that much.

Kevin is survived by his mother Joann Johnson of Walla Walla WA, his daughter Amber Aaron and her husband Kevin Aaron of Sammamish WA, his brother Mike Johnson of Walla Walla WA, his two nephews Tyler Johnson of Corvallis OR, and Jake Johnson of La Grande OR also many other Aunts and Uncles, close family and friends. Kevin was preceded in death by his father Ronald Johnson, and his son Nicholas Johnson both from Walla Walla WA. Now that you are reunited with Grandpa and Nick may the three of you rejoice and dance with the angels in heaven, until I see you again.

I love you Dad and miss you so much…. . Love “Your Sunshine” “Your Angel” you would always say to me.
