Obituary for Kristina MaryRose Greco Kristina MaryRose Greco, 28, of North Port, was granted her angel wings on October 25, 2017 at Moffit Cancer Center in Tampa, FL after a courageous battle with cancer. Kristina was born on February 13, 1989 in Port Charlotte, FL to Robert Daniel Greco and Kerry Ann Greco. Krissy grew up in North Port, FL.
She graduated from North Port High in North Port, FL in 2007. After High School, she worked at Palmer Ranch Assisted Living Facility where she could share her sunny disposition with the residents that she took care of. She changed directions in career choice for a brief time to work in management at McDonalds, where again, it gave her the opportunity to work with the public and share her outgoing personality and love of life.
Krissy’s heart was really into taking care of others no matter what she chose to do and ultimately, she did have plans to go back to school for a degree in nursing once her children were a little older. Although diagnosed with an aggressive cancer Krissy never gave up hope. She never complained, maintaining a brave cheerful outlook of an optimistic future-even through countless chemotherapy treatments, hospitalizations and pain.
She continued to raise her three children and be involved in their lives through their daily needs all with her head held high and a smile on her face. Krissy was the bravest woman anyone could ever know. She possessed strength, perseverance, and kept a positive attitude throughout all challenges that came her way.
Through her courage she showed us that each day is a blessing and an opportunity to create lasting memories. Krissy made friends easy and kept in contact with many. The most important thing to Krissy was her family.
Her children were her entire world and every breathe she took was for their happiness and wellbeing. She relished spending time just sitting around chatting for hours with those she loved so much. Krissy was active and enjoyed doing many things.
She loved going out on the boat, whether it was just a trip down the canal to fish with the children, or an all-day event out on Stump Pass. She also enjoyed family bike rides, picnics, and game nights with her children. Where ever she was, no matter what she was doing, she was there with a smile on her face and a laugh in the air.
With Krissy’s passing we remind others that her life is one to be celebrated. Although we will miss her every day, especially her winning smile, she will forever remain in our hearts. Kristina is survived by her three beautiful children Naomi, Kingston, and Jerricka, her loving parents, Robert and Kerry, her sisters, Tricia and Nicki, her brother, Charles, her beloved nieces, Olivia and Briella, her cherished nephews, Mason and Hunter, her maternal grandmother Maryellen Denomme, her Auntie Kim, her cousin David, her boyfriend Wayne, her very best friend Jennifer Hill, as well as, numerous other aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends.
