L. J. Bergeron, 77, of Fannett, Texas passed away February 24, 2019. He was born in Port Arthur, Texas on January 15, 1942 to the late Loveless Joseph Bergeron, Sr. and Margaret Smith Bergeron. He was a member of the Pipe Fitters Local 195.

He served his country proudly in the Army National Guard. Those left to cherish L. J.’s memory is his partner, Cheryl Buffington of Fannett; his children, Jamie Cormier of Winnie, Sherri Herring and her husband, Robert of Fannett, James Bergeron and his wife, Monica of Fannett, and Cliff Fitzgerald of Fannett; his brother, Travis Bergeron of Nederland; 10 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; his grandson, Baby Kasey Cormier, and his wife, Carol Bergeron.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be at Melancon’s Funeral Home on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor David Cross officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens of Jefferson County in Nederland.
