Lance’s Obituary Lance S. Myers age 67 of Fremont passed away Thursday, February 14, 2019 at Methodist Hospital in Omaha. Lance was born June 16, 1951 at Bethesda, Maryland to James and Elizabeth (Harrison) Myers. He lived in Japan from 1952-1954 and then Rockville, Maryland from 1954-1963, He served in the US Navy from June 1970 to October 1982 during Vietnam.

He also lived at Chesapeake, Virginia from 1963-1971, Jacksonville, Florida 1972-1973, Norfolk, Virginia 1973-75 while on ship duty, Portsmouth, Virginia, NRMC 1975-1978 LaMaddelena, Italy, Yorktown, Virginia and then Fremont, Nebraska. Lance married Patricia Sobczak on November 25, 1977 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Fremont. Lance worked as an Optician at Jacobsen Vision in Fremont and Malbar Vision in Elkhorn.

He then drove a bus for Fremont Public Schools Transportation for over 10 years. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Fremont and the Fremont Coin Club. Lance is survived by his wife, Pat of Fremont; sons, James Myers and Gregory (Brandy) Myers all of Omaha; brothers, Rodney (Holly) Myers of Georgia, Scott (Susan) Myers and Jay (Janet) Myers all of Virginia.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Michael Myers. Funeral will be 11 AM. Monday, February 18, 2019.

at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Visitation will be on Sunday from 4-8 PM and family will receive friends from 6-8 PM and there will be a Rosary at 7 PM Sunday, all at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Military Honors conducted by the Fremont Honor Guard of VFW Post 854 and American Legion Post 20 will follow the service on Monday.

Memorial to the family for a fund yet to be established. Everyone is invited to a lunch at Moser’s social room following the funeral and honors. Moser Memorial Chapel, 2170 N. Somers Ave.
