In April of 1977, he married Marlene Diedrich in Twin Lakes. Larry had a passion for construction and worked in various trades over the years, most notably for William Tonyan and Sons, McHenry, IL and English Construction, Genoa City, WI. Finally, he became an owner of his own modified car and raced at Wilmot Raceway as well as at other raceways throughout Wisconsin. Larry loved spending time with his family and grandchildren, taking on new adventures such as ziplining, touring Chicago on bicycles, annual trips to Noah’s Ark, and a family trip to Door County this past summer. He loved watching all sports, never missed one of his children’s sporting events and enjoyed going to Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers games with his son and daughter.

Larry is survived by his wife, Marlene, his daughter, Katie (Jesse) Damrow of Fox Point, WI; and his son, Timothy (Kristina) Stevens of Olathe, KS; his grandchildren, Nelson Damrow, Ruby Damrow, Juniper Damrow, and Saylor Stevens. He is also survived by his sisters, Lois (Harvey) Petska of Spring Grove, IL; Anna (Jim Ross) Penza of Daytona Beach, FL; Pam (Dave Palcek) Kopacz of Libertyville, IL; his brothers, Bill (LaVerne) Stevens of Poolesville, MD; Ray (Peg) Stevens of Spring Grove, IL; Bob (Joy) Stevens Jr. of Spring Grove, IL. He is also survived by many brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

He is preceded in death by a sister, Judy Stevens. The family would like to thank Dr. James Thomas, YeeLan Wong, and the entire team at Froedtert and the Medical College of Wisconsin.
