Larry Lee Fosbrink, 70, of Uniontown passed away unexpectedly, Sun. Feb. 10, 2019 in the Baptist Medical Center, San Antonio, Texas.

He was born Jan. 30, 1949 in Connellsville a son of the late Clyde “Zeke” and Katherine Opal Martin Fosbrink. Larry was a graduate of Connellsville High School with the class of 1966.

He was a proud Veteran of the U.S. Air Force having served during the Vietnam War. He was a life member of both the Hopwood AMVETS #103, where he served in the Honor Guard and the American Legion #51 in Uniontown, and the Catholic War Veterans. Larry had worked as an insurance adjuster for Prudential for over 30 years.

Later he also worked as a store room clerk for the Uniontown Hospital and then for the Uniontown Herald Standard Newspaper as a “shorts” driver. Larry was a member of the Laurel Lodge #651 F&AM, the Uniontown Lodge of Perfection, the Consistory Valley of Pittsburgh, Caravan #9, Tall Cedars of Lebanon, Royal Arch Chapter #165, St. Omar’s Commandery #7, and the Syria Shrine. Larry was a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church in Uniontown.

He was a life member of the Hutchinson Sportsman’s Club, the South Connellsville Rod and Gun Club, and the NRA. Larry was a Square Dance Caller and called many Square Dances throughout the Tri-Sate area. He was a member of the Laurel Swingers and the Harrolds Western Squares.

Larry also was an avid golfer. Larry made many friends through his many activities and it was always said of him, “that if you talked to Larry once he was your friend for life”. Larry will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by his loving wife of 47 years, Sally R. Wilson Fosbrink, his brother Bruce Fosbrink of Connellsville, his sister-in-law Elaine Fosbrink of Connellsville, his niece Donna Jean Fosbrink of Connellsville and his nephew Richard Lee Fosbrink of Forest Hills, his faithful pet cat Tuffy, and many loving and caring friends.

In addition to his parents Larry was predeceased by his brother Richard A. Fosbrink and an infant brother Charles Fosbrink. Family and friends will be received Mon. from 2-8 PM in the Brooks Funeral Home Inc., 111 E. Green St. Connellsville (724-628-1430) where a Funeral Service will be held Tues.

at 11:00 AM with Pastor Bev Lilley Roscoe officiating. A committal service and interment will follow in Green Ridge Memorial Park, Pennsville. Military rites will be conducted at the cemetery by the Hopwood AMVETS #103 Honor Guard.

The Laurel Lodge #651 F&AM will conduct a service Mon. at 5:30 PM, in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the Fayette Friends of Animals, 223 Searight Herbert Rd.
