Larry Wayne Bonner age 70 of Heber Springs, Arkansas passed away January 24, 2019 at the VA Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas. Born April 9, 1948 in Heber Springs he was the son of the late Jewell Milton Bonner and Mary Louise Walker Bonner. Larry was a US Army Veteran serving his country in Viet Nam and of the Baptist faith.

Larry was a mechanic by trade and worked at Cowboy Chevrolet as long as health permitted. He was big Nascar fan and loved to watch racing with his daughter. He liked hunting and fishing and taking walks on his parent’s farm.

He loved working at Cowboy Chevrolet, formerly Peyton Chevrolet. He was a family man that loved his cat but most of all he loved spending time with his daughter, Michelle. Larry made homemade pizza for her every Sunday.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jewell Milton Bonner; his wife, Barbara Sue Waters Bonner and a son, Michael Wayne Bonner. Survivors include his mother, Mary Louise Walker Bonner of Heber Springs; one daughter, Leslie Michelle Bonner of Heber Springs, Arkansas; three brothers, Kenneth Dale Bonner (Joy) of Jacksonville, North Carolina; Carl Ray Bonner (Theresa) of Lerna, Illinois and Edward Leon Bonner (Denise) of Tumbling Shoals, Arkansas; two sisters, Wanda Arlene Foust (Danny) of Heber Springs, Arkansas and Janice Fay Swan of Heber Springs, Arkansas; his many nieces and nephews and other family members and many friends. Visitation will be held 12:30 to 2:00 pm, Sunday, January 27, 2019 at Heber Springs Funeral Home Chapel with the service following at 2:00 pm with Brother John Cates officiating.

Interment will be in South Crossroads Cemetery with military honors provided by the American Legion Post 64.
