Latacha Marie Gay, age 44, passed away on March 16, 2019. She was born January 25, 1975 in Davenport, IA to John and Bobbie (Ford) Morning. She was the first born of six children.

She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, grandmother and friend to many. She loved her family and friends. She also loved children and was a daycare provider.

Latacha dedicated her life to the Lord at a young age under the leadership of Apostle James E. Lee at Pentecostal Deliverance Church. She was anointed to sing at a very young age and blessed many souls with her ministry of singing. Latacha Marie (Morning) Gay and her son Kenyon Clayvon moved to Arkansas where she met and married Deacon Rickey Gay.

Latacha was preceded in death by paternal grandparents Willie and Gunnie Morning; maternal grandparents Algie Ford and Lorene (Ford) Gales and her great grandmother Belle Phillips all of Davenport, IA. Latacha was survived by her loving husband Deacon Rickey Gay; her parents John and Bobbie Morning; her sons Kenyon Clayvon and Nicholas Gay; her sisters Katrina (Morning) Dixon, Sabrina Morning, Lashauna Morning and two brothers Jonathan Morning and Jason Morning. Two special children who were very dear to her heart Tamia Collins and Josiah Collins; her daughters LaCynthia Gay, Kirstie Gay, Tiwanna (Bobby) Hatton, Velma Gay, Denisha Gay, Kesha Gay, Lisa (Unterryo) Hill, Whitney Vesey, Timeka (Demetrius) Turner, and Sharon (Gay) Crosby; Two friends that was dear to her heart Sis.

Angie Mullins and Cynthia Gay with a host of grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, sister and brother-in-law’s, extended family and many friends. All of whom she loved and touched deeply.
