Laura’s Obituary Laura Sanders Sykes, age 76 of Rocky Point, passed from this earthly life Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. She was born October 26, 1942 in New Hanover County daughter of the late John and Eleanor Prince Sanders. She was also predeceased by her brother, J. C. Sanders.

She is survived by a daughter, Lorraine Redmond and husband John of Rocky Point; a granddaughter, Nicole Mays and husband Kenneth of Rocky Point; a great granddaughter, Olivia Mays; two sisters, Mary Clodfelter of Winston Salem and Helen Wilson of Swansboro; and many nieces and nephews. Laura loved her family very much. She loved Christmas and enjoyed decorating for the Christmas season.
