Laurie Ann (Barden) Freeman, 56, beloved wife of Dennis T. Freeman of Bozrah, passed away on September 5, 2018 from complications of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Laurie was born June 11, 1962 in Westfield, Massachusetts to Warren and Dorothy Ann (LeClaire) Barden. She grew up in Coventry, attending the local schools.

She later graduated from nursing school and worked as a nurse for the Department of Corrections. Laurie and Dennis enjoyed travelling, not only in this country, but also in Europe and the Caribbean Islands. She was generous, always trying to help others, and she will be missed by her rescued dog, “Lucky Dog”.

Laurie is survived by her husband of 25 years Dennis Freeman, parents Dorothy and Joseph Eaton of Mansfield, son Benjamin Desrosier, sister-in-law Jodie Barden of Utah, nephew Justin Hynes and niece Kendra Hynes of Mansfield, aunt Diane Wadsworth of Enfield, uncle Roy and aunt Maureen LeClaire of Barkhamsted, and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her father Warren Barden, daughter Kathleen Sanelli, sister Linda Barden, brother David Barden, and grandparents Harry and Viola LeClaire. A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
