Obituary for Lavonia Elizabeth Gadsden Lavonia Elizabeth Gadsden, 79, of Charleston entered into eternal rest Monday, July 16, 2018 at a local nursing home. The relatives and friends of Mrs. Gadsden are invited to attend her celebration of life service 11:00 am Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at Eastside Missionary Baptist Church,584 Meeting St. Rev. Nathaniel Robinson, Sr. Is the pastor.

Interment will follow at Red Top Community Cemetery, Johns Is. Visitation for Ms. Gadsden is Monday 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the church. The family hour begins at 6:00 pm.

She is the daughter of the late Julia Francis Brown; mother of John Bryan Gadsden, Keith Gadsden and the late Robin Denise Gadsden and Michael J. Gadsden; grandmother of Justin Gadsden, Eric Gadsden, Derrick Gadsden, Angelique Gadsden, Courtney Gadsden and Taneisha Montgomery; great grandmother of Derricka Stanley; sister of Audrey Nowell, Jestine Lavender, Miriam Hurrye, Lillian Hill-Clark (Henry), Jesse Gadsden and the late Edna Gardner; mother-in-law of Joanne Gadsden; devoted friend of the late Joseph Seabrook. Friends may visit at 1385 Ashley River Rd. , Apt 25-B.
