GLENFIELD – Lawrence F. Klosner, 81, of Pine Grove Road, passed away early Saturday morning, March 9, 2019 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Syracuse. The funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc., Lowville with Rev. Mr. Ronald Pominville officiating.

Calling hours will be held from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, prior to the funeral service at the funeral home. Spring burial will be in the West Lowville Rural Cemetery. Contributions in his memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.

Mr. Klosner is survived by his longtime companion, Melissa Widrick of Glenfield; her children, Howard “Rudy” Widrick and his companion, Maridee, of Beaver Falls; and Trudy Segovis and her companion, Allen of Copenhagen, and their families; his siblings and their spouses, David and Christina Klosner of Geneseo; Eugene and Dale Klosner of Ilion; Peter Klosner of Tennessee; Shirley and Woodrow Myers of North Carolina; Mary and John Youngs of Syracuse; Linda and Steve Formichella of Syracuse; Christine and Robert Marti of Indiana; Jane and Michael Zurlo of Saratoga; a sister-in-law, Gail Klosner of Glenfield; brother-in-law, Mark Hanno of Lowville; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He is predeceased by two sisters, Carol Hanno and Barbara Williams; and two brothers, Robert and Daniel Klosner. He is also predeceased by Melissa’s son-in-law, Leon Segovis, Jr. Larry was born on February 16, 1938 in Lowville, NY, a son of the late Lawrence B. and Dora Hoffman Klosner.

He graduated from Lowville Academy in 1955, and enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving from 1956 until 1958. After his service, he worked as a truck driver for the Lowville Farmer’s Co-Op for many years. Larry later worked in construction, last working as a heavy equipment operator for Orchard Construction Company of Syracuse for over 20 years, until his retirement.

Larry was a member of B.P.O.E. 1605, Lowville Elks Lodge. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and blowing snow.
