OBITUARY Lawrence “Larry” Prestimonico July 4, 1926 – December 26, 2018 Lawrence “Larry” Prestimonico, 92, of Mint Hill, North Carolina, passed away Wednesday, December 26th, 2018, at his home. He was born on July 4th, 1926, in Port Jervis, New York. He was the son of Marion and Lillian Andriac Prestimonico (Ingrassia).

Larry joined the Navy three days before his 17th birthday and proudly served our country during World War II from July 1st, 1943 to April 1st, 1946. He was co-owner and vice-president of Drum Mfg. Co., formerly of Mint Hill, NC from 1967 to 1988.

He enjoyed many things in his life, including league bowling, hunting, fishing and spending time at his house at Lake Norman. In Port Jervis, NY, he was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, the Port Jervis Fire Department, the VFW Naval Ship #7241 and The Loyal Order of Moose. Larry is survived by his daughter, Pamela (Tommy) Prestimonico Snodgrass; son, Larry (Rita) Prestimonico; grandchildren, Jessica Snodgrass, Lindsay (Richard) Prestimonico Santini, Thomas Snodgrass, Zachary Perdomo and Doylin Perdomo; and five great-grandchildren.

He is also survived by his nephews, Joseph Ogrodnick, James Ogrodnick, Michael Ogrodnick, Nicholas Ogrodnick and Gerald Rombousek; as well as his nieces, Linda Ogrodnick Gilmore and Donna Rombousek. Larry was predeceased by his beloved grandson, Larry Prestimonico Jr.; his sisters, Virginia Rombousek, Rose Ogrodnick; and his brother, Phillip Ingrassia. Friends are cordially invited to a visitation from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 31, 2018, at McEwen Funeral Service-Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Road in Mint Hill, with a funeral service to immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.

A graveside memorial service will be held at Saint Mary’s Cemetery in Port Jervis, New York, on a later pre-advised date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given in Larry’s memory to the therapeutic horseback riding program Misty Meadows Mitey Riders, 455 Providence Road South, Weddington, NC 28173, online at www. miteyriders.org.
