Lawrence W. Robertson, 96, Carthage, MO, passed away early Sunday morning, June 10, 2018 at St. Luke’s Nursing Center, Carthage. Lawrence William Robertson was born September 21, 1921 in Galena, MO to the late George Robertson and Iva (Lewis) Robertson. He graduated from Sarcoxie High School, Class of 1939.

He served in the U.S. Army Signal Corps during WWII where he reached the rank of T/4. Lawrence married the love of his life, Marjorie Chandler, on March 15, 1942 in Fairview, MO; she survives. … Read More » He worked as a postman for the U.S. Government.

Lawrence was a member of the Grand Avenue Church of God, Carthage. Survivors include his wife, one daughter, Connie Goodman (husband Robert), Carthage, MO; two sons, Lawrence W. Robertson, Jr. (wife Barbara), Carthage, MO, and Terrance Robertson, Wichita, KS; three grandchildren, Susan Goodman, Centerton, AR, Philip Robertson (wife Melissa), Warr Acres, OK, and Nathan Robertson, Carthage, MO; seven great grandchildren, Crystal, Alex, Abi, Aaron, Adin, Amariah, and Ananias; and one great-great grandchild, Ashleigh. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Randall Robertson, and one sister, Lenora Pyle.

Funeral services will be held 10 am, Wednesday, June 11, 2018 at Grand Avenue Church of God, Carthage. Pastor Sam Simmonds will officiate. Interment will follow the service at Gray’s Point Cemetery, Miller, MO.
