Obituary for Lawson Raymond Forrest Jr. Lawson Raymond Forrest Jr, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, November 9, 2018 at the age of 76. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawson Raymond Forrest Sr. and Elaine Romagosa Forrest. He is the beloved husband of 56 years of Margie Laviolette Forrest.

He is the loving father of Anne Forrest and Jill Forrest Roe. He is the devoted grandfather of Stephan Giardina, Logan Roe, and Savannah Roe. He is the beloved brother of Noel Forrest (Gail), and Judy Loup.

He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends. He retired from Entergy after 37 years of dedicated service. An artist and a talented carpenter with a keen eye for details, Lawson was a man of various interests.

He had a passion for archeology always searching for fossils and enjoying digs at several Indian mounds looking for artifacts. He kept meticulous notes of all the treasures he found. A lover of history, especially local and family history, Lawson was a man of strong principles, never compromising his beliefs no matter the cost.

Some would say that he was a man known for his love of the past and that the past was always with him. He and his many stories will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. A special thanks to the compassionate staff of St. Joseph Hospice for their dedicated care.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Visitation on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 beginning at 9:00AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA.
