Leah C. Williamson, 84, of Silver Bay died on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at Essentia Health St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth. She was born November 7, 1933 to Archie and Josephine (Sha) Loomer in Fergus Falls, Minnesota, where she grew up, graduated from high school, and Fergus Falls Teacher’s Training. After teaching for two years in Ottertail County, she married William Williamson on December 19, 1953.

They moved to Silver Bay in 1956 and Leah was a homemaker through the years. Leah enjoyed photography and writing poetry. She was a member of the United Protestant Church, where she had been active as a Sunday School teacher, musician and secretary.

She was also an active volunteer with the American Cancer Society Relay for Life. Leah was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bill Williamson; son, Vernon Williamson; and brother, Delwyn Loomer. She is survived by three daughters, Darice (Bob) Baum of Valdosta, Georgia, Jeanne Ann Albert of Superior, and Joy Ranft of Eagan; granddaughters, Lola, Sada, Amber, Susie and Lisa; great-grandchildren, Cassie, Lily, Mason, Anastasia and Devin.

Visitation will be from 10 AM until the 11 AM service on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at the United Protestant Church in Silver Bay.
