Leathia Hazel Phillips, 92, of Canton, passed away Thursday, December 20, 2018, at Silver Bluff Village. A native of Yancey County, she was a daughter of the late Dallas and Tathy O’Dear Riddle, and the wife of Charles D. Phillips who died in 2004. She was also preceded in death by a daughter: Lavinia Phillips; and sons: Michael, Phillip and James Phillips.

Surviving are a daughter: Patricia Hannah and husband, Gary, of Clyde; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:30PM Sunday in the Chapel of Holcombe Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the McMahan Cemetery on Rocky Fork off Cattail Creek.

The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
