Lee Mullinax March 23, 1944 – January 02, 2019 Local Florists Sign Guestbook| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Lee Mullinax Pacolet, SC – – Marshall Lee Mullinax, Jr., 74, of 1646 Asbury Road, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at Mary Black Health System-Gaffney. Born in Gaffney, he was the husband of Barbara Goforth Mullinax and son of the late Marshall Lee Mullinax, Sr. and Maryce Green Mullinax. He was a graduate of Gaffney High School, the owner/operator of Mullinax Electric, retired from Straightline, a U. S. Army Vietnam veteran and recipient of the Bronze Star Medal.

He loved raising goats, raised hay and donated to Big Oaks Rescue a horse rescue operation in Hodges, SC and other rescue farms, loved farming equipment and was of the Baptist faith. Lee loved his family and loved to help everyone. Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Marshall Wyatt Mullinax of Arden, NC and John Ashley Mullinax and wife, Jaime of Acworth, GA; a daughter, Barbara Ann Mullinax of Pacolet; a brother, Ritchie Mullinax and wife, Kelly of Taylors; a sister, Linda Porter of Kings Mountain, NC; two grandchildren, William Hunter Mullinax and Ashley Lane Mullinax; two nieces, Patricia Mullinax and Chelsea Palmer.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Priscilla Yesberg and a brother Bruce Mullinax. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 PM on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Blakely Funeral Home. Funeral services will immediately follow at 3:00 PM in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Rev.

Ray Allison and Mr. Ashby Blakely officiating. Interment will be in the Goucher Baptist Church Cemetery, with military honors. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Big Oaks Rescue Farm, c/o Mary, 809 Townsend Road E, Hodges, SC 29653 or Meals on Wheels, P.O. Box 1886, Gaffney, SC 29342.
