Leland George Wilson, 80, of Baker City died Thursday, May 23rd, 2019 at his residence. A memorial mass will be held Friday, May 31st, 2019 at 11:00 AM at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. Inurnment will follow at Mt.

Hope Cemetery with military honors. Friends are invited to join the family for a reception afterwards at the St. Francis Parish Hall. (As written by Lee) “I was born in Payette, Idaho to Margaret Bonner-Wilson and Vernon G. Wilson on March 24, 1939.

I began school in Payette, but moved to Baker City in 1948 where I finished my education at St. Francis Academy, graduating in 1957. I married Carolyn Sue Calder, but she passed away in November of 2001. In May of 2003, I married Carol Swigart.

I drove truck for several different companies throughout the years and retired from truck driving in 2007. I always enjoyed hunting and fishing when time allowed”. Leland is survived by his wife Carol Wilson of Baker City, his nephew Bucky Calder and niece Tammy Marr, and numerous cousins, and also by his cat and dog.

Leland loved life and was loved by many. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Francis Cathedral through Gray’s West & Co. Pioneer Chapel, 1500 Dewey Ave. , Baker City, Oregon 97814.
