Lelia Ethel Remington, 90, formerly of Pendleton, IN, went home to the Lord on Saturday, May 4, 2019 after an extended illness at her home in California. Lelia was born in Florida Station, IN on March 23, 1929 a daughter of the late Charles and Vada (Moore) Harless. Lelia attended Leach School.

She was baptized on October 30, 1960 at the North Anderson Church of God and attended Park Place Church of God when she resided in Indiana. She retired after 30 years from Warner Press in Anderson and moved to Southern California permanently in the early 1990’s. Lelia enjoyed traveling, camping, fishing and spending time with her family and friends.

She was an avid bowler for the majority of her life. Up until a few short years ago, Lelia bowled in 3-4 different leagues a week still carrying a 200+ average. She bowled in tournaments all across the US, even winning medals in the Sr. Olympics in her later years.

Lelia also enjoyed making jewelry and crafts of all kinds. Lelia is survived by her grandchildren, Jo Ann (Wes) Russell and Cam (Stephanie) Remington; great-grandchildren, Dalton Weismiller, Taylor Peavler, Ausia Remington, Corbin Remington and Dillon Russell; sister-in-law, Mary Belle Harless; daughter-in-laws, Mary Ann Remington and Gay Remington; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; siblings Mary Thompson, Opal Hiatt, Alice Boyd, William Harless, Willard Harless, Theodore Harless and Clarence Harless, husband Jack E. Aynes, whom she shared 30 years of marriage, and husband Robert Paul Remington, whom she shared 33 years of marriage; sons Robert Lind Remington, James Kent Remington and grandson Bobby Lee Remington.

Services will be held at Dunnichay Funeral Home in Frankton and burial will take place at Anderson Memorial Park. Memorial contributions can be made to: Alzheimer’s Association Greater Indiana Chapter, 50 E 91st Street, Suite 100, Indianapolis, IN 46240. The family would like to thank Dottie Buckley, Mike Wilson and Mike Bates for helping care for Lelia.
