Obituary for Lennett Y. Kyle Lennett Yvonne (Gipe) Kyle of Kearney, NE passed away Saturday April 7, 2018, at home surrounded by her family. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Friday, April 13, 2018 at Grace Fellowship Church in Kearney. Pastor Kris Pfeil will officiate.

Interment will be in the Hendley Cemetery in Hendley, Nebraska at 3:00 pm. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until service time Friday at the church. O’Brien Straatmann Redinger Funeral Home is serving the family.

She was born January 16, 1947, at the Arapahoe Nursing home to Leonard Gipe, Sr. and Elsie (Conley) Gipe. She grew up in the Hendley and Arapahoe area and received her education at Arapahoe Public Schools. On February 18, 1968, she married Albert Kyle and they had five children.

Throughout their life together, they lived in the Arapahoe area, Arizona, Louisiana and eventually settled in the Kearney area. Her favorite past time was being close to family, especially spoiling her nieces and nephews. She loved doing puzzles and reading her Bible daily, before she began having trouble with her eyesight.

The greatest joys in her life were her grandchildren. She would sit and talk about them for hours; you could see the love on her face and sparkle in her eyes when their names were mentioned. Lennett was preceded in death by her parents; son, Mickey Albert; sister, Louella; brother-in-law, Clarence; sister-in-law, Charlie; nephew, Steve and grandson, Korban.

She is survived by her husband, Albert; daughter, Lisa (Joe) Johnson of Gibbon; son, Bradley (Rebecca) Kyle of Papillion; daughter, April (Matt) Simms of Lincoln; daughter, Mindy (Luke) Moore of Kearney; grandchildren Travis and Elizabeth Johnson , Alexis Kyle, Ruby and Molly Simms, Kiaya and Kaiden Moore; sister, June Brakhan; brother, Leonard Gipe Jr (Loretta); sister, Susan Barnes (John); and sister, Karen Kurzenberger (Ken).
