She was born on June 8, 1933 in Meadville, PA to the late Carl and Helen Brown. Lenore was a retired LPN for Presbyterian and a longtime resident of New Mexico.

She is also preceded in death by her first husband, Wilbur McCurdy. She is survived by her beloved husband David Oakes of McIntosh, NM; sons, David Wilbur Oakes and wife Jean of Tulsa, OK and Douglas Keith Oakes and wife Melissa of Norman, OK; daughters, Diane Finch of Los Lunas, NM and Jane Martin and husband Ray of Portales, NM; brother, Clint Brown of Guys Mills, PA and sister Judith Dasovich and husband Mardy of Meadville, PA. Lenore was blessed with 13 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Estancia Ward. Bishop Kerry Mower will Officiate. Pallbearers will be Brian Gonzales, Derrick Schacher, Tanner Oakes, Ben Oakes, Eric Brown and Adam Call.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Hadley Crisp, Tristen Gonzales, Curtis Finch, Rawley Finch, Myron Finch, Teller Finch, Vance Finch, Dayson Schacher, Daniel Schacher, Tate Gore, Seth Gore, Trey Gore, Ellison Smithmeier, Joshua Brown, Kimball Brown, Xzavier Oakes, Toby Oakes, Zaiden Call, Brian Call and Greyson Call. Burial will take place on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at 1:30 P.M. at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
