Leo Gordon Olsen died at his home in Peterson, Utah on May 4, 2019 at the age of 83. He was born on December 23, 1935 to Hugo and Helen Olsen in Sunset, Utah and grew up in Peterson. He attended Morgan County schools and graduated from Morgan High School in 1954.

He received his associates degree from Weber State College in 1956 and his bachelors degree from Utah State University in 1963. He married Betty Kay Broschinsky on September 6, 1962 in the Logan, Utah temple. They made their home in Peterson, Utah and raised their family there.

He was employed at Hill Air Force Base for 38 years as a civil servant. He enjoyed spending time outdoors enjoying nature with his family. He loved photographing birds and flowers, going hiking and camping, and hunting elk.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many different positions. As a young man he served as a missionary in the Norwegian Mission and after his retirement he served with his wife in the Slovenia-Croatia Mission. They also served together in the temple and as family history missionaries.

Gordon was a firm believer in the constitution of the United States and was very involved politically in working to elect candidates and pass laws that would uphold it. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Betty Olsen, his eight children, Stuart (Kristi), Kettie, Eric (Wendi), Rozanne (Mark) Millett, Amy (Keith) Johnston, Pamela (Kevin) Keller, Celia (Jed) Vorwaller, and Nancy (Tyson) Etherington,28 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Judy Barker.

A viewing will be held on Friday, May 10, from 6 to 8 pm at the Enterprise LDS chapel, 2755 W Old Hwy Road, Morgan, Utah 84050. The funeral will be May 11 at 11 am at the Enterprise chapel with a viewing before from 9:45 to 10:45am. He will be interred in the Milton Cemetery.
