Leon Edwin Pace 70 of Charlestown, IN passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family. Leon was born on June 21, 1948 in Hohenwald, TN the son of Leonard Ellis and Edith Mae Lynch Pace. He retired after several years from General Electric in Louisville.

Leon was a United States Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War and was a long-time member of the Charlestown American Legion who will conduct Military Honor services at the funeral home. Mr. Pace is survived by his daughter, Cynthia M. Pace of Charlestown; son, Shawn Pace and his wife Holly of Charlestown; grandchildren, Heather, Kaylee, Jessica, Trevor and Emma; great-grandchildren, Lilian, Emersyn, Dawson and Bennett; special family friend, Tammy Davis. Leon was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Leonard Pace; sisters, Betty Faye Taul and Wanda Lee Ross; also, the mother of his children Debbie.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at 6:00 P.M. at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown. Visitation will begin at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday until the time of services. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Leon may take the form donations to the Charlestown American Legion Post #335.
