Obituary of Leona Dettore LEONA H. (STANCZAK) DETTORE On Tuesday, September 26, 2018 in Southern Shores, NC formerly of Braddock and Weirton, WV. She was born in Braddock on September 10, 1928. Daughter of the late Zigmund and Feliska (Adamkovski) Stanczak; beloved wife of 72 years to the late Nicholas P. Dettore; loving mother of Jerry Dettore and his wife, Marlene, Susan Mason and her husband, Ron, and the late Gregory; dear grandmother of Alison Dettore O’Brien and Christopher Dettore; great-grandmother of Anna and Emily; sister of the late Milton, Stanley, and Henry; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Leona was an avid shopper and was always generous with her bargain finds. A fan of sweets and old Hollywood, she and Nicholas celebrated each evening with ice cream and a Turner Classic movie. Friends received 5-8 p.m., Thursday, October 4th at the THOMAS L. NIED FUNERAL HOME INC.
