Leonard’s Obituary Leonard John Weaving, Jr., 60, passed away on Monday March 11, 2019 at his home in Rocky Boy, Montana due to natural causes. A Wake will be held on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. and will continue until Wednesday, March 13 ,2019 when a funeral will be held at 10:00 a.m. all at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church in Rocky Boy. Holland and Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.

He was the second of five children born to Leo and Margaret. He attended school in Great Falls and graduated from Great Falls High School in 1976. After High School, he worked for the Burlington Northern Railroad for several years and then returned to Rocky Boy to work as a firefighter and eventually the warehouse manager at the Forestry Department.

He married Mary Big Bow in 1988 and later divorced in 1992. A few years later he married Geniveve Nez Perce who passed away in 2007. Leonard was an avid hunter, fisherman, and outdoor enthusiast.

He also enjoyed hanging out with friends and family, watching his favorite TV program—Longmire, watching the Seattle Seahawks play football, and just cruising around the reservation. Leonard was a son, father, grandfather, brother, nephew, uncle, cousin, and friend to many. He will be best remembered for his quick smile, friendship, and generosity to all those who came into contact with him.

He loved his family dearly and kept in contact with them on a regular basis. While Leonard didn’t have much in terms of material possessions, his most cherished possessions were his children Justin, Matthew, and Courtney and his grandchildren Alexia Weaving and Helen Molina. He always wanted nothing but the best for them and loved them with all his heart.

He will be dearly missed by his entire family. Leonard was preceded in death by his Maternal Grandparents Charlie and Edith Writing Bird, Paternal Grandparents Jack and Mildred Weaving, Dad and Mom Leo and Margaret Weaving, Wife Geniveve, and numerous Uncles, Aunties, Cousins, and friends. Survivors include his Sister Lori (Tim) Rosette, and Sonja Weaving; Brothers Jack Weaving, Russell Weaving, and Jimmy (Sandra) Seymour all of Rocky Boy; and Brother Donny Hess of Great Falls.
