Leonard O. Jacobson Age 91, of Burlington passed away Thursday, November 1, 2018, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. He was born November 2, 1926 to Oscar and Signe Caroline (nee Eskilson) Jacobson in Aitkin, Minnesota. His early life was spent in Aitkin where he graduated from Aitkin High School.

Following their marriage they lived in Roseville, MN where they raised their daughter, moved to Maplewood, MN and three years ago relocated to Burlington. Leonard was a member of the Galilee Lutheran Church in Roseville, MN for many years. He was proud of his Swedish heritage and he had a curiosity about the world and everything around him.

He never stopped learning. He loved to read books, fly private planes, hunt, fish and garden. For many years he pursued growing, marketing and promoting Wild Rice.

He is survived by his loving daughter Sara Jacobson, a brother James (Lucille) Jacobson and a sister-in-law Ruth Jacobson, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife Helen, siblings: Evelyn (Ole) Thornbloom, Hubert Jacobson, Herbert Jacobson and Carroll Jacobson. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the community of friends at the Boardwalk for all their care and compassion.
