Leroy B. Eberly, 71, of Elkland, passed away on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at his residence He was born April 12, 1947, in Ephrata, the son of Titus Eberly of Wellsboro and the late Ada (Bicher) Eberly. Leroy was a graduate of Tulpehocken High School, Bernville, Class of 1966. He retired from Patterson’s Lumber Mill in 2009 after 35 years of service.

In his younger years Leroy enjoyed hunting and later in life enjoyed fishing. He loved hiking and being outdoors in the mountains. He also enjoyed playing Scrabble and loved his golden retriever, Goldie.

I addition to his father, Leroy is survived by three brothers and sister-in-laws, Titus and Maria Eberly of East Stroudsburg; Allen and Betsy Eberly of Westfield; David and Karen Eberly of Whitneyville; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Janice Eberly of Ozark, Al; and Margaret and Joe Wilde of Westfield; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his mother Leroy was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Shannon and his step-mother, Edna Eberly. A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 24, 2018, 1:00 p.m., at the Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, 139 Main St., Wellsboro with Pastor Darwin “Tink” Cranmer officiating.

There will be one hour of visitation prior to service from 12-1 p.m. A private burial will be held in Catlin Hollow Cemetery.
