Raquet, age 73, of Osgood, IN and formerly of Tipton passed away on Thursday May 9, 2019 peacefully at her home. She was born on June 12, 1945 in Jefferson County, IN to Dale and Florence (Meisburger) Cardinal. On January 27, 1968 Leslie married Denny Raquet and he preceded her in death on May 25, 2000.

Leslie was a firm believer in Jesus Christ. She was a 1963 graduate of Vevay High School. In her spare time earlier in life she enjoyed gardening, crocheting, camping, and babysitting.

In later years she enjoyed car rides, sitting by the lake, Carmel Frappes, and people watching. Shortly after her and Denny were married they opened their hearts and home and became foster parents. They continued foster parenting from 1970 though 1985 aiding over 20 plus children over the years.

Survivors include her three children; Reba Raquet, Rhonda (Raquet) Somers, and Dennis Raquet. Also surviving are her grandchildren; Ivan, Ethan, Elijah, Mason, and Corinna along with her siblings James Cardinal, Wanda Adams, Janet Richardson, and Ronald Cardinal. Leslie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a grandson Noah, and a brother, Harold Cardinal.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday May 15, 2019 at the Porter Funeral Home located at 726 East North Street in Tipton. Visitation is scheduled for two hours prior the funeral services. Interment will follow in Tipton’s Fairview Cemetery.

Pastor Joe Brock will be officiating.
