Librada Galindo February 06, 1934 – May 05, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Librada Galindo, age 82, went home peacefully to be with the Lord at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born February 6, 1934 in Los Indios, TX to Mr. and Mrs. Abraham and Carmen Canas Galindo. Librada was a member of a Rio Grande Valley pioneer family that settled in Los Indios, TX where she lived all of her life.

Librada enjoyed gardening and loved taking care of her yellow head parrot “Sammy” whom she adored. She also was a much loved caregiver to her family, her sister, nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces. Librada was also proud to be a woman of faith and was a lifetime member of Primera Iglesia Bautista of Los Indios, she was a faithful servant to our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus.

She leaves behind to cherish her beautiful memory her sister, Juanita Garcia, and numerous nephews, nieces, great nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. Librada is preceded in death by her parents, Abram and Carmen Galindo, two sisters, Viviana Nerio, Apollinaire Arguelles, brother, Celedonio Galindo, a niece, Noelia Garcia Moya and brother in law, Manuel Garcia. Visitation will be held on Friday May 10, 2019 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a service of prayer to begin at 7:00 pm.

Chapel Service will be held on Saturday morning May 11, 2019 at 10:00 am at Trinity at Harrison Funeral Home. Interment will follow to Los Indios Cemetery.
