OBITUARY Lillian Bruccoleri March 22, 1918 – July 10, 2018 Play Tribute Movie LILLIAN BRUCCOLERI March 22, 1918 – July 10, 2018 Lillian Bruccoleri, a resident of Novato for over fifty years and a resident of Petaluma for the last six years, died peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, July 10 at the age of 100. Born in New York to John and Rose Mastro she grew up with her two sisters Antoinette and Eleanor whom she loved dearly. Lillian met and married Bart Bruccoleri in 1942, and they were married 57 years until his death in 1999.

Bart was a career military officer and was posted in France and Germany for many years. They enjoyed their time overseas immensely. Bart’s last assignment, in 1962, was at the Presidio, San Francisco bringing them to Novato.

Lillian was always known for her charm and kindness to all who met her. Her home was always a place of grace and warmth. For several years she was a nursery school director and the children adored her.

She was a gourmet cook, seamstress (she even made her own hats), artist, scrabble player, music and theater lover, among many other accomplishments. She never tired of learning and she always brightened up any room with her smile and beauty. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her daughter, Christine O’Brien (Gregory O’Brien), her granddaughters Suzanne Benson (Todd), Katie Scoles (Greg), Jennifer Rosen (Adam) and five great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son Philip Bruccoleri (Marion). Those who knew Lillian will forever carry her memory in their hearts.

Her family would like to thank all the staff at Springfield Place and Hospice of Petaluma for their compassion and kindness to her. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 18th 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Keaton’s Redwood Chapel, Novato Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, July 19th at 11:00 am at St. Anthony of Padua, in Novato with Interment and reception to follow at Valley Memorial Park Cemetery.
