OBITUARY Lillian Marie Russo January 19, 1918 – July 13, 2018 Lillian Marie Russo passed away on July 13, 2018 at Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Florida after a short illness. She was born on January 19, 1918 in Rockford, Illinois from immigrant parents, J. Vincenzo Russo and Josephine Spoto Russo from Aragona Sicily. She was one of seven children and was mother of four boys.

Lillian was always smiling and bringing people together. Lillian was predeceased by her parents, son Carl Schweinler and siblings Vivian Salamone, Anne Scott, Carl Russo, Mary Hilton, Joanne Saunders and brothers-in-law, Al Salamone, Bill Scott, Everett Hilton, Bill Saunders and sister-in-law Susie Russo. Lillian is survived: by her sons Vincent Breese, Paul Russo Schweinler, Bert Schweinler, and spouses Judi Schweinler, Lee Breese, Michele Shepherd, DorothyAnne Huff and sister-in-law Annabelle Russo.

Her baby brother, Fred Russo is now the sole sibling survivor. Lillian’s grandchildren include Carl Schweinler, Jr., Clair Diones, Doug (Jamile) Breese, Joseph Breese, Sarah (Robert) Marchione, Erin Schweinler, Charles (Celeste) Schweinler and several great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews and their children. When asked what her secret is, she would reply: “You must laugh every day and Baileys doesn’t hurt”.

She will ALWAYS be our Sunshine! Visitation for Lillian will be 12:00 pm on Friday, July 27, 2018 at Sunset Funeral Home with Funeral Service to follow. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
