LILLIAN PAMELA PASQUINI Lillian P. Pasquini was born in Lucca, Italy, on July 7, 1924. She passed away at Timber Ridge in Eureka, CA on July 11, 2018, four days after her 94th birthday. Lillian was the daughter of Emilio Tognoli and Pamela Piccinini Tognoli.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John R. Pasquini; daughter, Jeanette Pasquini; her father, Emilio Tognoli and mother, Pamela Piccinini Tognoli; her sister, Mary Tognoli, who died in childbirth; her brothers, Michael Tognoli and Gino Tognoli, who died during WWII; and her brother Domenic Tognoli and spouse, Suzie Tognoli of San Francisco. She is survived by her daughter, JoAnn Hanson and husband, Rory Hanson; her granddaughter, Nicole Hanson Mainzer and husband, Benjamin Mainzer; great-grandchildren, Iris and Theodore Mainzer; and grandchildren, Jonathan and Michael Lucas; all of Eureka. Lillian is also survived by her nephew, Bobby Tognoli of Fort Bragg; and great-nephews and niece, Matthew, Michael and Laurie Tognoli.

Lillian Tognoli married John Pasquini in Lucca, Italy, April 24, 1948. Following their wedding, Lillian and John moved to Rio Dell, California, where she continually resided for 70 years. Lillian and John were married for 45 years, until John’s passing in 1993.

Lillian was a parishioner of St Patrick’s Catholic Church in Scotia for more than 70 years. She was a member of the Italian Catholic Federation and the Order of the Sons and Daughters of Italy in America. She volunteered as a Pink Lady at Redwood Memorial Hospital for more than 20 years.

She also enjoyed her time spent with the Red Hat Society. Lillian was a strong and Independent woman. Through her efforts the family constructed the ‘Larks’ Rexall Drug Store in Rio Dell, and developed other rental units upon the family property.

She managed and operated the family rental business until her passing. In 2008 she was honored as the Rio Dell Chamber of Commerce Woman of the Year. She enjoyed her family and friends.

Lillian would often pick fruits and vegetables from her garden, sharing them with others. She enjoyed canning. She knitted booties for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and friends.

She was an excellent seamstress and sewed many Halloween costumes and dance costumes for her grandchildren. Lillian was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be missed by her family and surviving close friends.
