Lillian Rhoades Cather, beloved wife of Howard Clark Cather, passed in the early morning hours of December 31, 2018. Howard, having passed away two years earlier, welcomed her back into his arms. After 75 years of married life together, they are reunited once again after a two year absence.

Lillian was born and raised in Glenville, WV, until married and moving to Ohio, where she became head cashier until retirement, whereupon she and her husband moved to Taylorsville, NC, where she enjoyed life up until her passing. She is survived by daughter, Belinda Lewis married to Doug Lewis of Naples, FL and son Craig Cather married to Shannon Craddock of Graham, NC. She had several grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

She will be cremated and placed in an urn, followed by a small family service. The urn will be interred at Wood Lawn Cemetery in Brunswick, OH. She is returning to the area after 35 years.

In lieu of flowers, please make a heart-felt donation to St. Judes Children’s Hospital in her name. Donations are in the name of Lillian R. Cather. She will be sorely missed by those who knew and loved her.
