Lillian Rose Chitwood (Kuchera) passed from this life to be with her heavenly father on April 26, 2018 at age 98 on the family farm. Lillian was born March 22, 1920 in St. Paul, Minnesota to Edward John Kuchera and Catherine Semin. Lillian has been in San Juan County since 1942 where she and her late husband Bluford Chitwood arrived from Corona, NM.

Lillian has a large family and many friends that will miss her. Lillian was predeceased by her son, Robert Leroy Chitwood and three grandchildren Scotty Martin, Bluford ton and Jimmy ton. Lillian loved her eight children and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

She also loved her farm and animals, especially her dogs that were with her on the farm. She worked hard her whole life, but still made time for her family and neighbors. She will be missed.

Lillian leaves behind 6 daughters and 1 son. Marcella ton (Dewey), Mary Williams, Linda Coy (Jim), Eloise Cunningham, Elaine Urie (Steve) and Helen Martin (Kenny) and her son Noel Chitwood. She has 23 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren.

A viewing will take place Tuesday, May 1st at Farmington Funeral Home at 6pm. A funeral service will follow at 7pm at Farmington Funeral Home. A Graveside Service and Interment will take place at 10am at the Cedar Hill Cemetery.
