Lillian Schatzinger July 01, 1934 – January 28, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Lillian Schatzinger, 84, of Tiffin, passed away at 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 28, 2019 at the Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center in Tiffin. Lillian was born on July 1, 1934, in Tiffin, to the late Edison and Lelah (Adams) Foght. She married Gene Schatzinger in Tiffin on August 7, 1960 and he preceded her in death on January 12, 2018.

Survivors include her children, Lisa (Mike) Maldinger and Bryan (Janice) Schatzinger both of Shelby, six grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Lillian was a homemaker and a member of the First Christian Church. She was a former member of the Washington Street United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir.

Lillian was a 1952 graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School. Lillian was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Richard Foght, three sisters, Annabel Benner, Millie Fruth and Naomi Fruth. Funeral services for Lillian will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, February 1, 2019 at the Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin with the Rev.

Doug DeVos officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, from 4-7 p.m., at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services on Friday, at Fairmont cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church.
